PM inaugurates transit accommodation for MPs at Western Court Annexe, New Delhi
The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, today inaugurated the newly constructed Western Court Annexe in New Delhi. This building will serve as transit accommodation for Members of Parliament.

Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister appreciated the Speaker of the Lok Sabha, Smt. Sumitra Mahajan, for her efforts in the completion of this project. He added that Smt. Sumitra Mahajan always has the well-being of the MPs in mind. He said that her compassion is reflected in the attention to detail that has been given in this project.
The Prime Minister said that the project has been completed well within the stipulated time and cost. He congratulated all those involved in the construction of the project.
The Prime Minister said that when MPs are newly elected, they have to stay in hotels and this makes headlines. However, he said that what is often missed is that previous occupants overstay beyond the designated time.


Commonwealth Games 2018 Opening


The Gold Coast Commonwealth Games 2018 are set to commence on 4th April, with the opening ceremony taking place at the Carrara Stadium in Gold Coast today evening. A strong Indian contingent is in the Australian city and will be aiming to better the country’s previous showings at the Games.

Haryana Sign MoU With IIT Delhi
Haryana Technical Education Department has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi for the setting up of IIT Delhi Technopark at Rajiv Gandhi Education City, Kundli in district Sonipat.


Haryana Government has provided 50 acres land parcels each at Rajiv Gandhi Education City, Kundli in district Sonipat and at Bhadsa in Jhajjar for setting up of extension campuses of IIT Delhi, said an official spokesman.
The objective of this MoU is to establish a close cooperative relationship between the parties with special reference to supporting Haryana based Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and provide training opportunities to the faculty and students from technical institutions of the state.
As per the MoU, participants from technical institutions in Haryana will be offered upto ten seats in a quality improvement programme training course and upto five seats in a continuing education programme training courses conducted by IIT Delhi at the Sonipat campus, the spokesman said.
The participants will not have to pay any course fee; they, however, will have to bear their own boarding and lodging expenses. The Ph.D. students from technical institutions in Haryana can avail of the central research facility housing high end analytical instrumentation facilities at the Sonipat campus of IIT Delhi and they will be considered at par with IIT Delhi’s academics in matter of concessional tariff charges for use of the instruments, he added.

The national conference on Communicating India 2017 held in New Delhi on April 5, 2017.


The conference was organized by the Vivekananda International Foundation in collaboration with the India Media Centre, University of Westminster, London, Nehru Memorial Museum and Library and the Indian Institute of Mass Communication with the association of Prasar Bharati.


A day-long conference was based on the three main themes
1.Telling India’s story to the world
2.Communicating via Journalism and
3.Dialogue with Diaspora
